Show "N" Tell October 13, 2009

We had a guest (Ed Paasch) from the Omahawks with a request for help with the Omahawk's Auction October 18th 2009.  Several members of the Cobras offered to help.  This kind of inter-club cooperation is happening more often now that it used to.  I am very happy to see it and I believe it will help all the area clubs to grow stronger and get more out of the hobby.

Ed also is selling magazines to help fund the cost of and the five other club web sites that I publish which include:

This comes at a good time because my wife just lost her job and the ads that are on the web sites, to help cover their cost, are only producing a small amount since the economy slowed down.

If you would like to help with the cost of the web sites just click on any Amazon ad on any of the web sites and purchase the item you want from Amazon.  I will then get a small percentage of that money for referring you to Amazon.

I also have 3 web sites just to help make money for the club related sites.  You can also buy from these web sites to help cover the costs.  These other web sites are:

John Ord brought a T-34 that he bought from Hobby Town for $399.00.  It included the radio and plane with everything ready to fly.

Here John shows off the paint scheme.  This looks like a really nice plane and a good buy.

The Cobras R/C Club is made up of a friendly and helpful group of people.  We have a large grass field that is well maintained and is large enough to take off and land either North/South or East/West.  Not only that but there is nothing to run into when you are flying.  Itís all level open ground.  We have a map to the field so that you will be able to find your way.  The Cobras Field is on the west side of I-29 South of the Bellevue exit.  All but the last couple of miles or so are hard surface roads.  We also have posted on the Field the emergency number to give to the 911 operator so that the emergency unit can quickly find the Field.  That number is 54802. It could be very important if someone had a heart attack or other serious problem.  Be sure to come out to the Field and enjoy the food, flying and camaraderie. If you would like to show everyone your newest creation, that took so much work to build, then bring it to the Cobras Meeting for show and tell. The meetings are the first Wednesday of the month.  In January we combine the meeting with dinner at the Holliday Party.  If you wish to join the Cobras download an application form.
