        The Cobras R/C Club welcomes you to an exciting and fun way to spend time with your R/C Friends and Family.  There's no better way to identify with your children than to share an airplane modeling hobby with them.

       We have a large field that is big enough to land and take off ether East-West or North-South with nothing to hit once your in the air.

"New" Cobras Indoor Flying Site

  

     Lynn Fehr has found an Indoor Flying Site at the Community of Christ Church, 140 W. Kanesville Blvd Council Bluffs IA.  Flying will be 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM every Thursday.  The cost is $3.00 per day.   Free Coffee!   Check the schedule for more information and a map to the flying site.   Schedule   Details & Map  Be sure to come and try indoor flying.  It's great fun!!

      Just a reminder for our Wednesday 7:00 meeting at Godfathers Pizza 30th Broadway. We start our drawing for a $10 gift card from godfathers  to be given away after the meeting. Tickets will be sold $1 each or 6 for $5 and proceeds will go in the club funds. Its less then two weeks till our first poker/dusk patrol of 2013 so there will be talk about that. Also we have gotten some sponsorship for this year and I will tell you about that at the meeting. If anyone is interested in helping at the fun-fly Please let me know at the meeting or contact me buy email or call.  Also I have enclosed a flyer for the 2013 poker/dusk patrol fly/ins. I would like you all to take a look at it before I have Keith post it on Metro RC. I would like to get this flyer posted on metro calendar and see if Keith can set it up as a link on the cobra web page.

The Cobras R/C Club is made up of a friendly and helpful group of people. We have a large grass field that is well maintained and is large enough to take off and land either North/South or East/West. Not only that but there is nothing to run into when you are flying. It’s all level open ground. We have a map to the field so that you will be able to find your way. The Cobras Field is on the west side of I-29 South of the Bellevue exit. All but the last couple of miles or so are hard surface roads. We also have posted on the Field the emergency number to give to the 911 operator so that the emergency unit can quickly find the Field. That number is 54802. It could be very important if someone had a heart attack or other serious problem. The SWIFT Glider club members are also members of the Cobras club and there membership has added to the size of the club which has helped to bring in enough money to pay the cost for rent and upkeep of the field. President Larry Puls cooks great Brats and other goodies for many of the Fun Flys etc. so be sure to come out to the Field and enjoy the food, flying and camaraderie. If you would like to show everyone your newest creation, that took so much work to build, then bring it to the Cobras Meeting for show and tell. The meetings are the first Wednesday of the month. In January we combine the meeting with dinner at the Holliday Party.  If you wish to join the Cobras download an application form.
